I'm not sure what to title this.
Logan got mad at me the other day and told me
"I'm not going to marry you Mommy."
I told him "You can't marry me, I'm your mommy."
He said it again. I repeated myself.
He then said, "I'm going to break your heart."
Oh heck no! We had a little talk about that and how saying stuff like that can hurt people's feelings. Where is he learning to talk like that? Is it just the age or stage he's at? Oh boy...

If my son had said that, I would've tried hard not to laugh, and do the same you did, explain to him that some things you don't say.

It's definitely the age, Karlise. Matthew has been on again/off again about marrying me for the past several months. I feel like I'm being strung along - LOL! Now he told me that he loves me & Daddy 2000% but that when we he's angry with us he only loves us 50%! Same thing as you - WHERE on Earth did he come up with something like that??!! I had to explain to him that how much we love someone doesn't change regardless of being angry with them. These boys!
IMO it's the age and it's school...ugh! We often have talks about how and what we should and shouldn't say. Fun stuff isn't it?
