25 days and counting

Until my birthday! Mark your calendars- February 26 I will be 29....... again! ;)

Am I too nice?

Or is dh too cynical? Tonight I was getting dinner at Subway and this lady who appeared to be homeless came in and ordered a sandwich. When I went to pay, I asked her if I could pay for her meal as well and she was quick to say I didn't need to do that but I felt like I needed to for some reason. I felt that way from the moment she walked in. So I went ahead and paid for everything and she was very thankful.

When I came home, I told dh what I did and he gave me this look. I don't even know how to explain *the look*. I knew by his expression that it wasn't something he would have done even though he's a very generous person usually. He made the comment that a lot of *homeless* people (bc some do fake it) make more money than we do just by panhandling. If she was ordering a sandwich, obviously she had money. Well maybe she did tonight but who's to say she would have money tomorrow to eat?

I know I did the right thing whether she was homeless or not. It's all about doing unto others, right? Maybe she will pay it forward now.

Babywearing- Bella was asleep.

Outside the Muppets 3D show. The boys were all at Star Tours so Bella and I walked around taking pics while waiting.

Warning- Do not pull rope.

They love making the *person* in the mine fall down. If you're ever at DHS, try it! It's just outside of the Indiana Jones show.

Money, money- never enough

I guess it's a good thing (ack- blasphemy) that we aren't renewing our Disney passes this year. Just this week we've paid out almost $500 to get our A/C fixed including the yearly maintenance and that's with getting one part free! They were out here Wed. morning and replaced a condenser (I think) and when the fan died again Wed night they came out Thursday and replaced the fan motor and credited us back for the other part.

Monday after next dh has to go to the dentist. He thinks he potentially has a cavity. That's over $200 easily. I still need to order eyeglasses (exam's already done) and I need to get to the dentist myself at some point in this lifetime. I require a deep cleaning though and with dh's dentist that will be $1000 spread over a few appointments. We have NO insurance- health or otherwise.

Logan's outgrowing all of his clothes and of course Bella is also. Thank goodness I'm a bargain shopper! Now I just need to find some bargains.

A short clip of the meteor shower at the T-Rex Cafe in Orlando.

And here's a clip of our Chocolate Extinction. As you can see the boys thought it was neat.

T-Rex Cafe pics! (pic heavy)

Saturday we went to Downtown Disney for a bit. We got there right around 12:30ish and decided to try to get into the T-Rex Cafe for lunch. Honestly, I thought they'd say no way or that there was a 45min wait or something but to my pleasant surprise they said it would be 5-10 minutes and we were seated within that time!

The service was excellent. Our waiter was great. When dh had a hard time finding something vegetarian on the menu that he wanted our waiter sent out the chef to talk to dh. Together they decided on the mushroom ravioli with marinara sauce. (FYI- the Alfredo sauce apparently has a chicken base. Who knew?! The chef was also willing to make it from scratch it we wanted.) We were starving so we started with onion rings (Artifact Stack) for our appetizer. While we were waiting on those, dh took the boys around the restaurant to take pictures. The onion rings got to our table before they made it back. They were hot and fresh and served with 2 different sauces. I don't like onions unless they are cooked just right and these were good! I ordered the Paleozoic Chicken Sandwich which was fried pizza dough (like a flatbread) with grilled chicken, avocado, tomato, lettuce, bacon, pepper jack cheese and a lemon aioli sauce. It was HUGE and sooo good! It also came with homemade hot and fresh potato chips. Yum. The boys got mac & cheese. How original. LOL For dessert (which I could barely eat I was so full), we ordered the Chocolate Extinction. You'll see a pic of it. It was 4 huge slabs of the most awesome brownie/cake with caramel and butterfinger pieces plus mounds of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. OMG. It also had a *steaming* centerpiece. We took home most of the cake and dh has been eating it ever since. I would highly recommend the food here. It was expensive though. I think it cost us $84 without tip. We both think it was totally worth it. It won't be an every month occasion for sure though.

The atmosphere was great. There's a meteor shower every few minutes where the dinosaurs come alive. There's plenty to look at and it keeps the kids occupied for sure. I'll try uploading some video too.

Okay so here are just a *few* pics. ;) Fair warning...
